There are certain little things I like to do to make an ordinary day special. I firmly believe that life's little moments, those happenings and small things you tend to overlook, are what make for the best memories down the road.
One thing I like to do is to finish off an ordinary meal - for instance something so simple as pizza - with an extra special/fancy dessert. Which is what I did tonight. Pizza and breadsticks for supper, and then we finished off the meal with some creme brulee for dessert.
Yes, this whilst on a mission to lose weight. The key to being able to have a meal like this is to only eat this way occasionally and when you do, mind your portion control! No pigging out or binging - and tack on some extra exercise time to burn off the extra calories. Another thing I firmly believe is no "diet" will work if you're depriving yourself of "real" food and/or foods you enjoy. Everyone deserves to indulge now and then - you just have to be smart about how often you indulge and again, mind your portion control when you do.
